This policy explains how SolvyX processes personal data in Coberturia, under Ecuador’s Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP) and its regulations.
1. Who the controller is
SolvyX [legal name, tax ID and address pending] is the controller of the data of people who use Coberturia and of visitors to this site.
Regarding the data of the clients that each agent or broker loads into the platform, that agent or broker is the controller, and SolvyX acts as processor (see Data processing). Data protection officer: [appointment pending].
2. What data we process
From users: name, email, phone, ID or tax number, professional license, city, the insurers you work with, billing data, activity in the account and technical data about the device and connection.
From visitors: the data you send in the contact form and, only if you accept analytics cookies, browsing data without your name or email.
3. What we use it for
To create and protect your account (verification, prevention of duplicate accounts and fraud), provide the service, bill for it, support you, send you service notices, improve the product with aggregated data and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal bases
We process your data to perform the service contract you accept when signing up, to comply with legal obligations, on legitimate interest (platform security and fraud prevention) and with your consent when we ask for it (analytics cookies, contact form and marketing communications). You may withdraw your consent at any time.
5. Sensitive data
Policies and insurance documents may contain health data, which the law considers sensitive. We only process it to provide the service requested by the responsible agent or broker, with reinforced security measures, and never for other purposes.
6. Artificial intelligence
To read documents, transcribe audio and draft summaries we use AI providers on paid plans with a no-training clause: your data is not used to train their models. We send only the minimum data each task needs and do not use providers that process personal data in China.
7. International transfers
Our cloud infrastructure and some providers have servers outside Ecuador [region pending]. These transfers are made with the appropriate safeguards required by the LOPDP, such as data protection contractual clauses.
8. How long we keep data
For as long as your account is active. When you close it, you have 30 days to export your data; after that we delete it, except what we must keep for legal obligations (for example, tax). Backups rotate in cycles of up to 30 days.
9. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification and update, erasure, objection, portability and restriction of processing, and not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.
Write to [privacy email pending]. We will answer within 15 days. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can file a complaint with the Superintendency of Personal Data Protection.
10. Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, store passwords with secure key-derivation algorithms, isolate each organization’s data, control access by role, log who views, changes, exports or deletes data, and run daily backups.
If a security breach occurs, we will notify the authority and the people affected within the time limits set by law.
12. Minors
Coberturia is a service for adult professionals. We do not create accounts for minors or collect their data as users.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date and, if the change is significant, notify you by email.
